Fano, 22 April 2024 – “Violence, degradationdrunkenness, muggings reported in the early evening hours and in the center”. Brothers of Italy, through the secretary Loretta Manocchi, relaunches the topic of city safety, after the latest attack suffered on Friday afternoon, in Corso Matteotti, by a citizen and reported in our newspaper yesterday.
“True baby gangs operate in the city – Manocchi points out – who harass, consume alcohol and never miss an opportunity to attack. All accompanied by throwing glass bottles. Situations which, as repeatedly reported, undermine the well-being of the local community.”
For Manocchi “urgent measures are needed including, as we have been proposing for some time, the strengthening of the local police so that they can organize external services even at night and are equipped with useful tools to deal with crime. Furthermore, a profound urban redevelopment is needed with theinstallation of cameras as well as the adoption of an ordinance that prohibits the use of glass in the historic center and in the seaside area”.
And again Manocchi: “Close collaboration with social services is essential, as they can implement actions aimed at the recovery of minors, perhaps through promotion of prevention activities in schools, associations and volunteering. The intervention of the police is essential to deal with critical situations, but it is clear that more needs to be done to guarantee the tranquility and safety of citizens. On several occasions, as the Brothers of Italy, we have asked the mayor to adopt concrete measures to guarantee public order: safety is an absolute priority”.
