We Moderates, Luca Briziarelli, commissioner for elections in Umbria

Luca Briziarelli, former Umbrian Senator Lega, was appointed Commissioner for municipal and regional elections in Umbria by the political organization “Noi Moderati”, after a meeting of the National Council convened in Rome to discuss the agreement with Forza Italia signed by National President Maurizio Lupi.

The meeting, which was attended by numerous guests, including Briziarelli, officially marked his return to active politics after more than a year and a half of absence from the political spotlight. Briziarelli, known for his local commitment, had left the political scene without controversy, but his reappearance with “Noi Moderati” caused surprise.

Briziarelli, contacted for a video call by Gianluca Drusian who will be at his side, expressed his satisfaction with the new challenge and answered questions regarding his return to politics and the role entrusted to him. He declared that he chose “We Moderates” for the seriousness of the people and the concreteness of the projects, underlining that consensus is not the only determining factor for him.

His role includes the supervision of elections in Umbriacontinuing the work started by his predecessors at regional level and in Perugia.

As for the strategy of “We Moderates” to take root at regional and municipal level, Briziarelli highlighted the importance of presence in the area, fairness and willingness to discuss, ensuring that he will not be alone in his commitment.

The next few months will be dedicated to support for candidates for Mayor and to the preparation of the European elections, which Briziarelli considers fundamental for the future of the country. He also mentioned the party’s objectives in Umbria, aiming to contribute to the change that began with the victory of the centre-right in 2019.

“We Moderates” is aimed at those who wish to contribute to finding concrete solutions to problems, standing out for their seriousness and competence. Briziarelli criticized the long-term management of the Left in Umbria and expressed confidence in the Center-Right to continue the change.
