Cosenza, for Francesco Forte a double that tastes like liberation

A winning strike following an assist from Calò, a left-footed shot from the edge – deflected, but it doesn’t matter – after a suggestion from Marras. Two goals in ten minutes for Francesco Forte, who tasted again that joy that had been missing for a long, long time. In fact, the attacker hadn’t scored in the league for over 6 months.

Exactly 195 days since that beautiful brace scored against Lecco which seemed like it could consecrate Forte and make him the striker the Wolves were looking for. This season, fortunately, the striker has become Tutino – 15th center in the league in Reggio Emilia – but Forte’s goals so far have really been lacking.

At the first goal the player received a sincere and enthusiastic embrace from the entire team, Forte almost didn’t even rejoice, with a mocking smile and his shirt covering his face, as if he didn’t believe it. Then also the second goal, which came with a bit of luck, the one he had lacked up until now – see the missed penalty kick in Bolzano at the end of January – and which now can finally unlock him. A double that feels like liberation for a player who can be decisive in this final part of the season.
