changing room – In the context of the initiatives of the PLS Biology and Biotechnology and PLS Geology, in close collaboration with the ANISN-National Association of Natural Science Teachers and under the expert guidance of Prof. Milena Penna, in recent days they were guests of the University of Camerino the students from the Marche and the Republic of San Marino, first in the regional phase of the Natural Sciences Championship, held on 26 March in Senigallia. The young talents were welcomed by the University of Camerino for the “University Day” initiative. Francesco Michieletto (San Benedetto del Tronto), Alessia Pallotta (San Benedetto del Tronto), Tommaso Chiaramoni (Macerata), Chiara Cartolari (Pesaro), Filippo Gasperoni (San Marino), Elena Ludovica Zonzini (San Marino), Samuele Coltrinari (Recanati) , Lorenzo Vannucci (San Marino), Arianna Gatti (San Marino), Nicolò Luzi (Ancona), Lucio Rossi (Ancona), Marco Spinaci (Macerata), Francesco Ferro (Jesi), Enrica Guiducci (Pesaro), were hosted at the School of Biosciences and Veterinary Medicine and at the School of Sciences and Technologies.
They therefore had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Biology and Geology, preparing with enthusiasm and determination for the national finals which will be held in Assisi on May 11th. Under the guidance of Unicam teachers Daniele Tomassoni and Giandiego Campetella, assisted by Cristina Olivieri, the students explored theoretical-practical activities, concentrating their energies on the preparation of histological preparations, microscopic analyzes and molecular techniques fundamental to the sciences forensics. At the same time, under the guidance of experts such as Francesca Dezi, Gabriele Giuli, Marco P. Ferretti, Piero Farabollini, Claudio Di Celma and Tiziano Volatili, they deepened their training regarding the recognition of minerals, rocks, fossils as well as the interpretation of cartography, thus helping to lay solid foundations for their future in the stimulating and very current discipline of Earth Sciences. The University of Camerino expresses its sincere wishes for success, in the hope of seeing them triumph on the national podium and representing the excellence that will lead them to the prestigious international competitions in July 2024.
