The award, which promotes and encourages human and civil rights, was presented by the Mayor of Bisceglie, Dr. Angelantonio Angarano and Professor Luigi Palmiotti, curator of the intellectual project, who together took part in the ceremony, with Giancarlo Pecoriello, (Universo Salute “Opera don Uva”) and Don Pasquale Quercia, evening hosted by Prof. Pina Catino, vice-president of Archeoclub d’Italia APS (Bisceglie section).
The international “Don Tonino Bello – Apostle of Charity” Award, whose organizational coordination is entrusted to Rosalia Sette, is announced by the social promotion association Archeoclub d’Italia, chaired by Professor Luigi Palmiotti and avails itself of the patronage of the Municipality of Bisceglie and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Cotrino (Latiano, province of Brindisi).
With the ophthalmologist Pasquale Attimonelli, also rewarded Renato Brucoli, author-publisher “Ed. Insieme”; Lucrezia Dell’Orco, archivist of the Vatican Apostolic Library; Maria Martina Favullo, Ryanair pilot; Franco Leone, poet; “Il Biscegliese”, periodical founded by Pierino Rana (publisher Diego Romano Rana); Michele Maria Mangano, Apulian Folk ambassador to the world; Marcello Paduanelli, administrative director of “Universo Salute”; Giuseppe Pansini, president of the “Leonardo Azzarita” study center; “Universo Salute”, chaired by Giancarlo Pecoriello and Luca Vigilante, CEO of “Universo Salute”.
