PISTOIA – Extraordinary maintenance work on the pavements in via Caduti del Lavoro, Stadium area, scheduled by the Municipality’s Special Projects office, has begun. This is an intervention aimed at eliminating architectural barriers, so as to guarantee everyone the possibility of moving around safely and independently, and which involves a total investment of 100 thousand euros.
After work completed in via Pagliucola and in Gramsci coursewe therefore continue with via Caduti del Lavoroon both sides of the roadway, starting from the stretch that goes from via Pagliucola to via dello Stadio and then continuing along the entire road network up to via dei Macelli.
One will also be placed along the sidewalks flooring (LOGES system) recognizable by visually impaired and blind people through the tactile sense of the foot.
Further interventions to remove architectural barriers along pavements are also planned in the coming months via dei Macelli in the stretch between via delle Olimpico and via della Concordia.
