phases of disturbed weather until Tuesday 23rd

A vast cyclonic area remains over north-eastern Europe which conveys cold air from the northern quadrants and at times disturbed impulses towards the eastern Mediterranean which determine conditions of variability on the Veneto. From Sunday, a low depression originating from this circulation will tend to move towards central-western Europe and will gradually also affect central-northern Italy first and then southern Italy on Wednesday. In Veneto, the weather will be characterized by phases of disturbed weather, with scattered, sometimes widespread precipitation, at least until Tuesday. On Wednesday, residual variability will remain. Maximum temperatures will remain below the norm for the period. This is indicated by the weather forecast Harp Veneto.

Afternoon/evening of Saturday 20th

Unstable weather conditions with irregular clouds at times significant. In the Prealps and plains, increased probability of local precipitation, including showers or thunderstorms (medium-low probability 25-50%), occasionally with small hail; in the Dolomites rainfall is less likely or completely absent. Snow level around 1500 m or locally lower in case of showers. Exhaustion of phenomena by the end of the day. Maximum temperatures increasing or locally stationary; further decreasing in altitude. Winds in the plains moderate from the north-east, then easing.

Sunday 21st

Sky: Unstable weather conditions remain, with irregularly cloudy skies, with initial clearings, even large ones, which will continue on the coast in the morning, and a tendency towards a subsequent increase in cloud cover starting from the mountainous and internal areas of the plain.
Rainfall: Increase in the probability of precipitation from the central hours, starting from the mountainous sectors, during the afternoon the precipitation will tend to affect in a scattered manner also part of the internal plain, while it will generally be absent on the coast and neighboring areas. Overall, the probability of precipitation will be medium-high (50-75%) in mountain and foothill areas, medium-low (25-50%) on the internal plain. Snow level around 1100/1300 m, locally lower in case of showers.
Temperatures: Minimum temperatures without notable variations in the plains, decreasing at altitude; maximums decreasing in the mountain and foothill sectors and in part of the internal plain, stationary elsewhere.

In the afternoon there is a tendency for precipitation to extend everywhere. Snow limit initially around 800/1000 m, subsequently slightly rising up to 1100/1400 m and falling again in the evening, when locally it could reach altitudes even below 1000 m, in case of more intense showers.
Temperatures: Lows rising; maximums decreasing, with values well below the average for the period. Stationary values at altitude.
Winds: At altitude moderate from the south-east. In the plains, winds from the eastern quadrants will persist, moderate inland, tense on the coast.

Wednesday 24th

Residual conditions of variability with initial clearings, even large ones in the mountain areas and stretches of cloudiness during the day, which cannot be ruled out could be associated with some sporadic precipitation, snow above 1500 m. In the plains, frequent clouds will remain in the southern and coastal areas, with the possibility of clearing towards the evening, elsewhere irregular clouds will alternate with sunny stretches.
