Relay between Reggio and Modena. Zanni takes over from Santagata on the Autobrennero board of directors

The president of the Province of Reggio Emilia and mayor of Castellarano, Giorgio Zanni, has joined the Board of Directors of Autostrada del Brennero representing the members from Reggio Emilia and Modena. Zanni took over on the Board of Directors from Giuliano Santagata, the former Modenese minister who passed away last January, who had been indicated in 2016 by the Province of Modena with the approval of that of Reggio Emilia, shareholders of Autostrada del Brennero with shares of 4.2 respectively % and 2.2%.

Precisely to Santagata “and to the precious and qualified work carried out with great competence”, president Zanni wanted to address a thought yesterday in his first speech to the Board of Directors, thanking “the president Hartmann Reichhalter, the managing director Diego Cattoni, the general director Carlo Costa and all the members of the Board of Directors for this morning’s welcome and the Province of Modena, starting with its president Fabio Braglia with whom “we continue to work and cooperate daily, on this and many other common issues, very positively”.

“In this last year of the mandate of the Autobrennero board I will try to make the most useful contribution possible to a company that sees its planning coincide with the requests of the territories of Modena and Reggio Emilia, which await responses that can no longer be postponed – he added President Zanni – Efficient, safe infrastructures and, in our case, the construction of the new road axes planned for some time and not yet started, are indispensable for the citizens and for the competitiveness of our industrial districts: from the definitive release of the Campogalliano works – Sassuolo and the Cispadana motorway to carry out works to convey and improve ordinary roads in the territories bordered by the A22, Autobrennero is called upon to provide fundamental responses to the territories of our two provinces”.

“In 65 years of history, Autobrennero has always demonstrated its ability to achieve excellent economic and management results, but even more so that it is attentive to the needs of the territories – concluded the president of the Province – This is how we want it to continue to be and for this very reason However, it is essential that the national procedures for the awarding of the new concession are also speeded up, in order to be able to proceed with the planned investments”.
