The Taranto of president Massimo Giove has announced that it will present an urgent appeal to the CONI Guarantee Board, once it has gathered the reasons with which the Federal Court of Appeal rejected the first complaint of the Jonica company, against the ruling of the National Federal Court. The objective is to reduce the 4-point penalty inflicted on Ezio Capuano’s team, due to the administrative violations recorded at the end of 2023. The club has already relied on the lawyer. Eduardo Chiacchio, but the hopes of overturning the situation are slim, considering that the Court of Appeal has just expressed its opinion in United Sections.
“The company Taranto Football Club 1927 srl – we read in the official note – announces that he will appeal the sentence with which the penalty of four points in the standings was imposed. The decision of the Federal Court, which was also taken at the decisive moment of the championship, has modified and overturned the orientation expressed on the matter in the last decade by the sports justice bodies, therefore, it seems inevitable to resort to the CONI Guarantee Board so that the very delicate issue can be definitively clarified.
