Castellammare – Tajani blesses Bobbio. Here is the centre-right’s plan

The former mayor will challenge Vicinanza. The center-right is now aiming to convince the civic centers of the center to join the coalition.

Luigi Bobbio’s candidacy for mayor also receives the blessing of Minister Antonio Tajani. Yesterday afternoon in Mariana di Stabia, where Tajani had lunch after the G7 in Capri, the regional, provincial and local leaders of Forza Italia met. From Annarita Patriarca to Fulvio Martusciello, from Nello Di Nardo to the former mayor Gaetano Cimmino and obviously Luigi Bobbio. With them also the former councilor Loredana Strianese, always close to the political world of the center-right and to the events of Stabia. All united and in agreement in entrusting the leadership of the coalition to the magistrate who in the past was capable of returning the center-right to the leadership of Castellammare di Stabia. And the objective now is equally difficult: to be able to reconfirm itself after the shame of the dissolution of the municipality due to Camorra infiltration.

The basis is there: Forza Italia, Fratelli d’Italia, Lega and Noi Moderati constitute the backbone of the coalition. But the coup that Bobbio is now aiming for is to be able to convince the lieutenant of the Guardia di Finanza, Antonio Alfano, to take a step back and reunite his coalition with that of the centre-right. Another objective is to also bring in Massimo de Angelis and his United for Stabia list. The conditions are all there, but we clearly need to work on them. Time is short because the lists must be presented within 2 weeks, but it seems that all the conditions are there. The coalition

of Alfano, Civic and Democratic Coalition, is made up of the civic groups “Partito della Città” (Represented by the lawyer Francesco Schettino), “Stabia al Centro” (Represented by Dr. Carla Di Maio), “Percorso Civico” (Represented by Dr. Ciro Di Martino), “Forza Stabia” (Represented by Dr. Vincenza Maresca) and “Alfano Sindaco” (Represented by Mr. Raffaele Verdoliva). Five lists where, some, have political references within the center-right and which, therefore, could be attracted by Bobbio’s proposal. If the objective were to be achieved, in the end there could be at least 8 coalition lists. A few more days and everything will be clarified.

Finally, the last candidate for mayor in the field is Dr. Antonio Coppola, the first to take the field with a very compact coalition of civic members, so much so that – although attracted and recalled by regional and national political references – they confirmed that they wanted to move forward with the project designed by the manager of the ASL Napoli 3 Sud.

In the end, therefore, the candidates for mayor could be reduced to just 3 names: Vicinanza for the centre-left, Bobbio for the centre-right and Coppola for the Civics. In this case, the closure of the games in the first electoral round of 8 and 9 June would be very likely without the use, this time, of the run-off elections which were always necessary in the last 3 previous administrative elections.
