Initially, the sale of tickets to watch the match was reserved only for residents in the municipality of Bisceglie, to avoid clashes between the fans between which there is a historical rivalry (same decision taken throughout the season for the matches which involved the two teams from Bisceglie and the three from Molfetta). On Wednesday 17 April, owner Bufi’s club proposed a technical meeting in the presence of the mayors of the two cities, the carabinieri and the Nerazzurri management, to try to create the necessary conditions so that the Molfetta fans could also watch the final live. The following day the presale was suspended, following resolution no. 20/2024 of the National Observatory on Sports Events. This determination suggested that the match would have to be played behind closed doors, which clearly angered the fans.
For this reason, the postponement of the match was requested, so that a solution could be found that would allow both fans to enjoy the match safely, avoiding clashes. Decision accepted by the National Amateur League and the Bat Police Headquarters, which is now identifying the most suitable measures to guarantee safety.
