Cai Legnano bids farewell to its pillar Vittorio Bedogni

«In your memory we will do like you a little more, a little better». The big family of CAI of Legnano gave his last emotional farewell
Vittorio Bedogni, national instructor and founder of the renowned Guido della Torre School. The man from Legnano passed away on Saturday 13 April after years spent among the peaks and immersed in studies in the field of mountain accident prevention. A commitment which, as Pinciroli, president of CAI, Legnano, recalled in his heartfelt speech, “served to preventively save many lives”.

The funeral of the historic CAI member “a pillar of this reality” was held on Saturday 20 April in a packed Basilica San Magno in Legnano. Monsignor celebrated the function Angelo Cairati who remembered Bedogni for his simplicity and kindness.

Friends and acquaintances remembered with deep affection the companion of many adventures in the mountains. Bedogni was then always appreciated for his activity both in the regional ski mountaineering school and in the Lombard Materials and Techniques Commission as well as in the renowned Materials and Techniques Study Center of the Alpine Club. Bedogni has dedicated herself to the training of hundreds of people and has left an indelible mark in the hearts of many. «He was an expert, a friend and a trusted companion – states Pinciroli -. We always learned something new with him.
His dedication has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, testimony to his impact and mastery in the mountaineering and ski mountaineering fields. Dear friend, you have left an unfillable void, but we will all continue to remember you.”
