NEW YORK (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – The councilor for urban regeneration and relations with the universities of the Municipality of Palermo, Maurizio Carta, met the director of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, Fabio Finotti, at his Park Avenue location.
The topic of the meeting was the presentation of Palermo’s regeneration and development initiatives, also starting from the guidelines for the new general urban plan based on the principles of sustainability and resilience and recovery of the historic centres, currently the subject of particular attention of the IIC with the exhibition dedicated to Peccioli (Tuscany).
The councilor and the director have agreed to plan an upcoming presentation to the cultural, professional and entrepreneurial community of New York of the regeneration, development and investment opportunities of Palermo, also involving the Palermo university system for a presentation of teaching and research in a perspective of scientific and cultural collaborations between Palermo and New York.
Palermo, in fact, is part of the UNESCO Learning Cities, the educational cities that base their development on culture, training and inclusion.
