The State Police of the Pordenone Police Headquarters has recently expanded its operations to combat illicit drug trafficking throughout the province. This concentrated effort has led to tangible results that highlight the effectiveness of the strategies adopted to combat this type of crime.
Operation details
During a series of checks, the Flying Squad officers observed an unusual movement of people, already known to the police as drug users, near an apartment. On 18 April, following a thorough investigation and after consulting the Public Prosecutor on duty, a house search was authorized and conducted in the home of a twenty-three-year-old of Moroccan origin. The search operation was successful: the officers discovered and seized 135 grams of cocaine hidden inside a pair of shoes in the bedroom shoe rack. In addition to cocaine, a few grams of marijuana, two precision scales and material used to package the substances were also found.
Consequences of the arrest
Given the significant quantity of drugs found, the young man was arrested for possession for the purpose of dealing drugs and transferred to the prison in Pordenone, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority. It is estimated that the seized drugs could have generated over 15,000 euros in illicit profits on the market.

This case highlights not only the persistent presence of drug trafficking networks in the region, but also the determination of local law enforcement to prosecute and dismantle such operations.
