Four arrests in the Trapani area for thefts, robberies and stolen credit cards, the Carabinieri operation – BlogSicilia

The Carabinieri of the Trapani Company have implemented an application order for a precautionary measure, issued by the Court of Trapani, against 4 subjects from Trapani (3 men aged 25, 34 and 53 years and a 37 year old woman, all burdened by prejudices of police) for the crimes of home robbery, theft and improper use of credit and payment cards.

The investigations

The investigative activity, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Trapani and launched following the complaint of robbery suffered last October by a 48-year-old local man, made it possible to acquire serious indications of guilt against the four suspects, documenting that the The 37-year-old and the 34-year-old (the latter with a partially distorted face and armed with a knife) would have first perpetrated a home robbery by taking away from the victim the mobile phone and the wallet containing cash (approximately 200 euros) and two prepaid cards with which they would have made , in the following days, purchases in commercial establishments in Trapani (for the amount of approximately 200 euros) the 34-year-old, after a few days, attempted to perpetrate another home robbery (again by means of threat with a knife) and stole a car parked on the public street of Trapani. In the same period, in competition with the 25-year-old and the 53-year-old, he entered a bakery in Custonaci, removing household appliances and foodstuffs.

At the end of the activity and on the basis of the elements that emerged, the 34-year-old was transferred to the Trapani prison, the 37-year-old was placed under house arrest (with an electronic bracelet) and the other two were subjected to a residence ban in the respective municipalities of Trapani and Erice, with the ban on leaving one’s homes during the night.

The robberies in the Syracuse area

The Carabinieri of Rosolini have arrested a 26-year-old accused of being the perpetrator of two robberies and a mugging, as well as the burning of a car which occurred in Rosolini between June 2023 and last February.

The cameras

The investigations began after the victims reported and thanks to the viewing of the images from the security cameras, the 26-year-old was identified. All these events have created alarm in the Rosolini community. As ordered by the Prosecutor’s Office, the young man is in prison, in the Cavadonna penitentiary, south of Syracuse.
