a meeting on research in oncohematology

As part of the cultural events of Federi-Cult 2024, the conference “New horizons in oncohematology” was held yesterday in the Santa Croce Church of Altamura, organized by the OdV “Una Stanza per un Smile”.

Keeping faith with the theme of the medieval festival “Ad Orientem, on the path of the rising sun” and understanding the extraordinary value of the speaker Dr. Doriana Gramegna, as witnessed by the article in “la Repubblica” (from Puglia to Harvard and back), the myeloma researcher in Boston returns to her native city for a very important scientific appointment.

“Currently engaged at the Oncological Institute of Bari” declares the President of the OdV Una Stanza per un Sorriso Dr. Rosanna Galantucci “after having worked at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute of Harvard University, as a brain on the run returning to Puglia, the Rapporteur Dr. Gramegna accepted my invitation and will make her in-depth report on the latest research in the oncohematology field”.

Supporting the Altamura researcher in the conference signed A Room for a Smile, the Director of the Medical Area Department of the “Giovanni Paolo II” Cancer Institute of Bari, Dr. Attilio Guarini, Apulian scientific center of excellence.

“New horizons in oncohematology” is another important event aimed at identifying sustainable and effective ways of aligning with the strengthening of Prevention and the “European Recommendation on Oncology Screening”.

Galantucci reiterates the aims of the voluntary organization which is constantly committed to “an increasingly strategic involvement of the Scientific Community, School, Family and Caregiver”.
