Ercolano, Buonajuto: “We report those who illegally dump waste for environmental disaster”
Zero tolerance, checks continue throughout the territory: “Environmental protection is a priority issue”
“We will not give discounts to anyone, in fact we have already taken steps to report those criminals who have illegally dumped waste on our territory for environmental disaster. Thanks to the images of the video surveillance cameras, for example, we identified the authors of the spill in via Dello Spacco” – this is what Ciro Buonajuto, mayor of Ercolano and national vice-president of Anci, declared in a note.
“Environmental protection and responsible waste management are issues of primary importance to our community. We cannot afford to let our guard down. We continue our control action on the correct disposal of waste, but also to combat illegal dumping in peripheral areas and in the areas close to the Vesuvius National Park” – explains the mayor.
“We cannot allow our environment to be compromised by the illegal abandonment of waste and the irresponsible behavior of citizens. We are working in close collaboration with the competent authorities to ensure that those who commit environmental crimes are prosecuted with the utmost severity”, added the Mayor.
Furthermore, Buonajuto invited all citizens to actively collaborate by reporting any cases of illegal abandonment of waste or behavior harmful to the environment. “Citizen participation and commitment are fundamental to combating environmental disaster. Anyone with information about illegal activities should report it.”
