One year after his death (22 April 2023) the section Cai of Cesena remembers the partner Domenico “Mimmo” Staglianò. Calabrian by origin and Cesenatico by adoption, he was among the founders of Senior group of the section. An inspiring and popularizer, he was a point of reference for many who, thanks to him, approached life in the section and the knowledge and travel of the mountains.
The Cai section of Cesena will dedicate the path 231 in the area of Ridracoli dam: a route that Staglianò really liked. “On many occasions – recalls the CAI – he accompanied groups of hikers, illustrating to them, with competence and passion, the particularities and naturalistic beauties of the environment crossed. He never failed to tell historical and legendary events with which he attracted attention and kindness“.
L’titling it will take place during the excursion on Sunday April 21st. The CAI members’ meeting point is at the “Ambrosini” photovoltaic car park atCesena racecourse. At 8.30, in Ridracoli, at the beginning of path 231, near the former Mulino di Sotto, the commemorative plaque dedicated to Staglianò will be unveiled. From there the excursion will start in the direction of Caselle, Tagli, Spiaggetta, Farniole di Sotto, Campo dei peri, Casanova dell’Alpe. The return will be along path 239. 14 kilometers expected five hours of walking and a height difference of 700 meters.
