PADUA – A 25-year-old was arrested by the police for mistreatment of his ex-partner, the same age, attacked with a stick and with belts. The woman was also threatened with a knifecausing her physical injury.

It was the suspect who called 113 during the night and asked for police intervention because his ex-partner did not want to leave her home where she had shown up a few hours earlier, despite their relationship having ended some time ago. Another patrol also arrived on site and found the girl crying inside her car. The 25-year-old said that she had gone to her ex but he, not liking her presence, he first offended her and then attacked her by pulling her hair, biting her hand, hitting her in the face, beating her with a stick made of aluminum and with a beltand finally threatening her with a knife. Frightened, the woman fled, taking refuge in the car.

Given the young woman’s condition, an ambulance was called and took the victim to hospital. The man, who had already been removed from the family home in 2023 because he had threatened his father with a knife, was instead accompanied to the police station.
