Sicily arrives in Milan for the Design Week. Birra Messina’s ‘Bar Meraviglia’ returns to the Milanese event, with the aim of making people rediscover the true meaning of “wonder”, understood as an experiential journey between art, taste and music. In the splendid setting of Chiostro Cappuccio (via Cappuccio, 3), the Bar Meraviglia welcomes its guests in a unique atmosphere, embellished with evocative installations, to give them an experience in which they can also be surprised by the new Birra Messina Vivace, the the latest news from the Birra Messina family. A blonde beer, with a new and distinctive recipe, with a refreshing taste and light citrus notes. In the name of tradition that marries innovation. Conceived with the collaboration of the architecture and design studio Giò Forma and the All Comm. agency, part of the Uniting Group, the Bar Meraviglia intends to pay homage to the island that gave birth to Birra Messina by recalling the richness of the typical Sicilian decorations in every corner of the cloister. The courtyard that houses the bar is enriched with installations, designed for an immersive experience given by the notes of Alessio Cavalazzi, an electronic violinist who brings to the stage three moments of authentic wonder, introduced by a play of lights and shadows in the light show. The three new creations that enrich Birra Messina’s collection of limited edition designer glasses were then presented at the Design Week. Exhibited within a path that develops in the colonnade of the Bar Meraviglia, where you can admire the complete collection that closes the tribute journey to the discovery of the 9 Sicilian provinces. Designed by Sicilian artists Michelangelo Lacagnina, Alessandra Pennino and Valerio Pirrone, these three new glasses are inspired by the mosaics of Piazza Armerina (Enna), the blossoming almond tree of Agrigento and the Castles of Caltanissetta. To enrich the atmosphere with evocative sounds, including notes of jazz manouche and folk, there is also the music of the Folk Band Giampiero Amato and Sicilian Family.
