The Granfondo Città di Ragusa will open its doors with the village in Piazza Libertà

The Granfondo Città di Ragusa is coming. From 26 to 28 April, the capital city of the Iblei will become the setting for one of the most popular cycling events in southern Europe. It is the second edition of an event destined to become a point of reference for other similar events. And it is no coincidence that nothing has been left to chance. Especially if you reflect on the fact that the number of members continues to grow. This is why the spotlight will be on one priority, safety. And, in this sense, an innovative partnership will be implemented between two ASDs, the Nuova Avir Team which organizes the event and Thetabike which wanted to actively collaborate. In practice, ASD Etnea, supported by Clou international, has undertaken to support all expenses related to security. An undoubtedly unprecedented circumstance, that of an ASD running to the rescue, so to speak, of another ASD, but which gives a sense of how good practices can contribute to increasing the potential of the cycling movement throughout the Sicilian territory. The organizing committee of the Granfondo Città di Ragusa, among other things, fully respectful of the traffic requirements that will have to be regulated on the occasion of the race on Sunday 28 April, will communicate in good time to the citizens residing along the route concerned which are the locations of the provincial area that will be touched and the approximate times that will concern the passage of cyclists.

This is with the aim of making the competition a moment of celebration and with the aim of limiting inconvenience as much as possible. As regards the organizational machine, which has already been in motion for a few months, the opening of the village is scheduled, which will be installed in Piazza Libertà on Friday 26th at 3pm, followed by the opening of various gazebos on the site with the display of commercial activities . But not only. The Music Fest will also be held on Friday and Saturday to guarantee the opportunity for participants and their families, but also for everyone else who wants to join, to live an exhilarating experience of good music. In addition, there will be the opportunity to participate in various sports, spinning lessons, take part in the gymkhana circuit for kids as well as numerous other initiatives. All the details of the three days will be illustrated during a press conference to be held on Tuesday 23 April at 11am at Palazzo dell’Aquila, headquarters of the Municipality of Ragusa.
