The start of work on Palazzo Roverella, with the construction site in via Milani, has sadly left around twenty elderly people from Ponte Abbadesse, regular passengers on line 5, at a stop in the heart of the centre. For a dozen days the vehicles of “Start Romagna” who make that race no longer arrived in Piazza Aguselli, because the previous route was moved around the walls. The spokesperson for the discontent is one of those pensioners from the Cesuola neighbourhood, who points out that “this has distorted the function of the minibus, which was to connect Ponte Abbadesse to the centre, passing through it”.
Instead now, and for a long period (until the end of 2025), in both directions, the route has been changed, making the bus pass along via Cavallotti and via Padre Vicinio from Sarsina. In short, it is kept outside the city walls, with the suspension of the Piazza Aguselli stop, as well as that of the Osservanza. The modification was necessary following the changes to the one-way traffic of some streets in the Palazzo Roverella construction site area. This has led, since April 9th, to some changes to the routes of lines 4 and 5, eliminating those two stops temporarily, but in any case for almost 21 long months.
However, from “Start Romagna” they let it be known that «there are times, considering the traffic conditions, in which the transit of minibuses is allowed in some central streets, while in the remaining times the route has been modified».
The elderly people of Ponte Abbadesse complain that the transport service has thus become less attractive for many passengers.
