At the iInternazionale 5Stars Wines Vinitaly competition in Verona, three Guerrieri wines obtained five-star excellence with a score above 90: Celso Bianchello del Metauro Superiore 2023, Biancanima Marche Bianco IGT 2022 and Rosa dei venti Marche Rosé Igt 2023. A success amazing which positions Guerrieri di Piagge as the first company from the Marche region in terms of number of wines awarded at the “5 Stars Wines 2024”: “We are proud – says Luca Guerrieri – for the result obtained by our company in one of the most important international competitions in the world, where a international jury of oenologists, specialized journalists and sommeliers taste blindly, therefore without knowing the grape variety, the cellar and its location, comparing more than 2300 wines and decreeing those that deserve excellence. This victory is not only for our company but for the entire territory, of our farmers, of our restaurateurs and of all the residents of our province because it underlines that the wines of our hills, if they are evaluated without preconceptions and without being influenced by the grape variety, the cellar or the production area, can complement and surpass wines that are normally considered and paid much more. The credit goes to our wonderful territory which still has a potential that is not fully expressed towards high quality viticulture. In detail: “The award from our Celso, who achieves this result for the fourth time, confirms the value of the Bianchello vine which has reached very high levels. Biancanima, at its debut, is the demonstration of how Bianchello is refined and fermented in terracotta and cement can enhance the characteristics of elegance and complexity of the wine. Rosa dei Venti, dedicated to our 20 historic collaborators of the company, demonstrates that Sangiovese vinified in white expresses unexpected levels of aromas, pleasantness and freshness at the same time. so important for a category of wines, rosés, which the local market is increasingly appreciating”. And speaking of markets, concludes Guerrieri, “we have consolidated numerous relationships with our international importers and at the same time created numerous contacts with new buyers, both Italian and foreign.
