The first hotel of the Edition brand by Marriott International, which has signed an agreement with Bain Capital Credit and Omnam Group, will open in 2025 on Lake Como. The structure – until before the major renovation project it was the Hotel Britannia in Cadenabbia – is owned and developed by Bain Capital and Omnam Group through a fund managed by Kryalos SGR.
The hotels of the luxury brand Edition – which aims to create structures perfectly integrated into the local reality, so much so that it defines itself as anti-chain hotels – are already present all over the world: from New York to West Hollywood, from London to Reykjavik, from Madrid in Tokyo and Shanghai.
Lake Como Edition will have 145 rooms, including two penthouses-turned-suites, a lobby bar, an infinity pool and multiple dining options overlooking Lake Como and the Bellagio mountains. The property is a 19th-century building on the western shore of the lake, a short drive from the center of Milan. “We are thrilled to work with Bain Capital Credit and Omnam Group to introduce the Edition Hotels brand to one of Italy’s most beautiful destinations,” said Josh Fluhr, senior vice president and managing director, Edition Hotels, Marriott International.

Lake Como Edition will strengthen Marriott International’s footprint across Europe, where the group has a portfolio of more than 719 properties with more than 137,500 rooms across 25 brands. Edition Hotels operates 15 properties around the world, including New York, West Hollywood, London, Reykjavik, Madrid, Tokyo and Shanghai
