The celebrations for the 40 years of the Sacred Heart parish continue in the diocese of Asti. On Saturday 20 April the “Caffè con Lode” will have a special guest. This is Valerio Ciprì known as “Lode” among the founders of the musical group “Gen Rosso”, guitarist, composer and author of lyrics and songs including the very famous “Stay here with us”.
The meeting between music and narration in which the Sacred Heart parish choir and the San Domenico Savio family choir will also participate, will be held at 9pm in the Sacred Heart parish.
“The ‘Caffè con Lode’ program aims to tell stories and life experiences that inspired the composition of some of the group’s most representative songs. How many experiences, how many adventures, how much life in the incredible number of songs born in 55 years lived in the Red Gen – explains Don Rodrigo Limeira, parish priest of the Sacred Heart -. In a family atmosphere, as if sitting in front of a fragrant cup of coffee, let’s sit down to listen to the profound, and sometimes incredible, stories that lie at the roots of these songs.”
Also on Saturday 20th, World Earth Day is celebrated and the “Corso Alba” committee has organized an afternoon dedicated to the environment and reflection. The appointment is at 3.30 pm at the Fruttuoso park in via Mattarella, with the bishop of Asti, mons. Marco Prastaro. The afternoon will continue with the song “our land”, with games and activities with the children of the oratory, with the activity of Ploggins thanks to the collaboration of the “Ecorunners” group, with the song of the seeds and the earth by Renzo, Lillo and Franco taken from the poetry of Antonio Catalano and will end with a friendship snack on the lawn offered by the Coop members’ office in Asti. Before saying goodbye, a song of praise. Throughout the afternoon, two observation points of the sun will be made available by the Beta Andromeda Asti Amateur Astronomers Group.
The celebrations for the parish’s fortieth anniversary will continue in May with a vast program linked to the Marian month. On May 15th, at 9pm, in the square in front of the church, the multilingual rosary will be held in collaboration with the Pastorale Migrantes.
On Sunday 26 May at 11.15 a mass will be celebrated to which all couples who have married in the church from 1983 to today will be invited. An aperitif will follow.
The celebrations for the fortieth anniversary of the Sacred Heart will end on Sunday 9 June.
