The problem is one-year postponements with causes set for 2028. And obviously the chronic lack of administrative and non-administrative staff. The Ministry finally decided to respond. In any case, it emerged from the meeting that: the situation is known to the Ministry; initiatives have already been undertaken aimed at overcoming the critical issues highlighted with reference to the lack of administrative staff at the Busto Arsizio headquarters, through insolvency procedures currently being completed; the Ministry is evaluating the testing of protocols with the Regions for the prompt procurement of administrative staff units to be allocated to the judicial offices quickly; as regards the lack of magistrates at both offices, the CSM, responsible for the matter, was involved; as regards the transfer of the headquarters from Gallarate to Busto Arsizio, the Ministry agrees, subject to identifying a suitable location for the purpose also through the Municipality of Busto. Screen competitions
The ministry invited the Order to indicate any competitions already held at local level (e.g. by Municipalities or other public bodies or professional associations) for homogeneous and suitable figures for the purpose, with useful and not yet exhausted rankings, from which the Ministry can draw by scrolling. President Santangelo, having shared the critical issues already highlighted, hopes for the return of the seat of the Justice of the Peace to Busto.
The secretary councilor highlights that the Bar Association of Varese has recently launched a competition for the hiring of an administrative unit, with a useful ranking from which the Ministry could draw. He also proposes to evaluate the possibility of employing civil service units at the headquarters of the Justice of the Peace in Busto, as already emerged during the previous meeting with the Mayors. Finally, highlight that there is one near the Court the presence of a recently decommissioned Carabinieri barracks, which the Ministry could evaluate as the office headquarters.
Dramatic situation
Chancellor Biafora explained that the situation at the headquarters of the Judge of Pace di Busto is dramatic and collapsing and that the administrative staff currently present is unable to cope with the amount of work that weighs on the office, hoping for decisive interventions, under penalty of paralysis of the office.
The Council, in light of the foregoing, orders the sending of a request to the surrounding Municipalities to communicate the existence of unexhausted rankings, from which the Ministry can draw by scrolling.
