On March 30th, the State Police of Trieste arrested an Albanian citizen, born in 1978, and an Italian citizen born in 2003, both domiciled in Trieste, in the Viale D’Annunzio area for the crime of drug trafficking .

Specifically, the staff of the Flying Squad of the Trieste Police Headquarters, during a service aimed at combating drug trafficking focused in particular on a bar in Viale D’Annunzio and on the homes of the bar owner and his partner’s son, obtained from the Judicial Authority two personal and local search decrees against them.

Following the search, a package containing cocaine with a gross weight of 674.39 grams was found and seized in the Albanian citizen’s cellar, in Largo Mioni. Further small quantities were also found on the subject’s car (4.17 grams) and on his partner (0.92 grams), as well as the mother of the other Italian arrested.

At the latter’s home, the investigators found themselves faced with a safe for which the owner declared he did not know the code. Removed and taken to the Fire Brigade, it was then opened and a large quantity of drugs was found inside, divided into several wrappers – for a total of approximately 100 grams of cocaine, 240 Ecstasy tablets, 90 grams of hashish and others. 225 grams of still undefined substance – in addition to almost 3,400 euros in cash.

All the illicit substances found and the money were seized, while the two subjects, in agreement with the Public Prosecutor in charge of the criminal case, Dr. Chiara Degrassi, were arrested in flagrante delicto and taken to the “Ernesto Mari” prison. of Trieste available to the Judicial Authority.
