BURIASCO – Last Sunday the Football Club Rivese mathematically gained access to the playoffs, which is equivalent to the possibility of obtaining promotion to Serie C; while waiting for the end of the regular season (in which the yellow-green teams will challenge Racco 86 and, on the last day, the Juventus Women’s team), we retraced the phases of this extraordinary season together with coach Marino Culasso, who spoke to Piemonte Sport.

To better understand the escalation of the girls, we must take a step back, looking at last season: “Last year there were 14 of us in the squad and, between injuries and unforeseen events, we had to face five matches in ten. The expectations of the current season, therefore, were not to achieve the success achieved: we had to evaluate the team’s performance match after match; thanks to some additions, we certainly had the opportunity to have greater ambitions, reaching the play offs: it was not an obvious result, it was necessary to evaluate the response of the team and the blending of the group, which are fundamental elements to face a season in the best possible way.

Culasso continues his story by revealing what, according to his philosophy, is the necessary thing to obtain positive results within the green rectangle: “I consider the attitude on the pitch to be a fundamental element: the missteps committed during the season, in my opinion opinion, are not to be attributed to the individual player, but rather to the general attitude of the team; immediately after stopping Torino (1-1 in the return match), we faced Musiello AC Saluzzo with the wrong approach, and this led us to defeat.
I have always maintained that just as you can win against the strongest, you can lose against those who, on paper, are weaker; in this regard it is important to maintain a positive attitude, without blaming the individual errors of the teammates: this has allowed us to achieve great results”.
