Viterbo – Arianna Meloni launches Massimiliano Grasso’s candidacy in Civitavecchia: “He will make us proud”

VITERBO – At Arianna Meloni’s first rally no opportunity was missed to talk about territorial unity and it is no coincidence that Massimiliano Grasso was also present, Fratelli d’Italia’s candidate for mayor of Civitavecchia who in the last few hours has also received support of Ernesto Tedesco and the League.

“Massiliamo Grasso will make us proud in Civitavecchia”, declared Meloni at the event held at the Terme dei Papi in Viterbo, not failing to remember how the Civitavecchia area is particularly dear to Tuscia, primarily due to the large tourist flow that has been underway for some time between the two cities.

“Civitavecchia will be an important challenge – underlined candidate Grasso – Vicendola, we will bring the port of Civitavecchia closer to Tuscia and Tuscia closer to Europe”. A plan in which the party has always demonstrated its belief, also with the commitment – first and foremost – of the deputy Mauro Rotelli, who has never stopped fighting for the completion of the Orte-Civitavecchia crossroad, a fundamental artery that will bring the two territories even closer , forming a powerful economic-tourism alliance.

At the end of the conference, Grasso also wanted to thank the current mayor of Civitavecchia for confirming his support. “I thank Ernesto Tedesco for the great responsibility and political sensitivity demonstrated not only towards me, but above all in the interest of the centre-right alliance, by announcing today his intention not to run again as mayor of Civitavecchia for a second term – declared Massimiliano Grasso – I am convinced that together we can still do many things for the city and I recognize that he found himself at the top of the city administration in a five-year period of great difficulty, starting with the Pandemic with its implications. As I already said when announcing my candidacy for mayor, I intend to continue the journey with the essential contribution of the League starting from Tedesco himself, giving the administration the change of pace necessary to take up and win the challenges that await Civitavecchia, completing the projects launched by the current administration and implementing a new and important development program for the city. I am sure that Ernesto will continue to make his contribution and experience available to the coalition for the future and the good of Civitavecchia and our community”.

For the opportunity to reiterate and formalize this centre-right alliance for Civitavecchia, a press conference for the official presentation of the coalition will take place tomorrow morning, Saturday 20 April at 11 am, at the Hotel San Giorgio, located in Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi 34 and of the political forces and lists that have already supported Massimiliano Grasso’s candidacy.
