He had been seriously injured in a car accident between sua Vespa and a car in Torre del Greco: an 80-year-old man died.
The elderly man had been involved in an accident that occurred on Wednesday morning in the area of via Marconi, close to the area where the old motorway toll booth stood. According to an initial reconstruction (municipal police and carabinieri are investigating the case), the man would have slippedmost likely also due to the asphalt made slippery by the rain that fell a few hours earlier, ending up against a car traveling in the opposite direction.
The impact was terrible and the eighty-year-old immediately appeared in serious condition. Rescued by 118, he had been transported at the Maresca hospital, where he had undergone emergency surgery. The man died without ever regaining consciousness.
