The association “Morena, a butterfly forever” in these years of activity has donated material worth over 100 thousand euros to the Mazzini hospital; since 2018 it has activated a free psychological and nutritional assistance service for cancer patients admitted to the hospice in the Casalena district. For the oncology department of San Salvatore dell’Aquila it donated two chemotherapy chairs, multimedia stations and two “Dignicap Delta” machines with helmets to prevent hair loss for patients undergoing chemotherapy. Much solidarity and great feedback also with the recent fourth Walk for Oncology organized in Bellante with the next appointment already set for May 18th in Roseto in the Borsacchio Reserve. «Humanization in healthcare means a new way of understanding care, not just focused on the disease, but on the patient as a whole», explained Di Giosia in particular, «we thank the president of Bim Di Nicola and the promoting association with the president Giovanni Signorile for accepting the proposal to support us.” The consortium actually participated in the collection. «A truly worthy initiative that Bim has chosen to support with its own donation», added Di Nicola, «A special applause goes above all to the incessant activity of President Signorile who, with this initiative, contributes to limiting the pilgrimages of the sick who they go for treatment outside because they cannot find adequate and sufficient services in the area”, concluded Melchiorre.
