invoices never paid, three complaints

They had registered on a Public Administration portal, pretending to make purchases on behalf of the Municipality of Giugliano. Three people were reported by the Municipal Police.

They had accredited themselves on a Public Administration portal as a spin-off company that was supposed to make purchases on behalf of the Municipality of Giugliano. So they bought tablets and cell phones – the value of which has not yet been quantified, but which would be around hundreds of thousands of euros – paying only a small part of the goods, and leaving most of the invoices unpaid: three people were reported by the Municipal Police of Giugliano.

On the portal where they were accredited, the reported subjects also published the decisions for the acquisition of the goods, which later turned out to be false. Usually, according to what was reconstructed by the investigations of the officers of the Municipal Police of Giugliano – led by Colonel Emiliano Nacar – only the first supply was paid regularly upon delivery of the goods; the invoices for subsequent purchases, however, were promptly left unpaid.

Some of the defrauded traders – not only in Campania, but also outside the region, such as in Lombardy and Sicily – who had not received payment for the goods, turned to the Municipal Police of Giugliano, asking for explanations. This was how the officers started the investigation, which quickly led to the three people being reported.
