Saturday 20 April, at 5.30 pm, in the new headquarters of the Masciangelo centre, on the first floor of the Musical Arts Park in Lanciano, Largo dell’Appello n. 2, the volume by Vincenzo Lombardi will be presented The collection “La Lapa” – Traditional music of Molise recorded by Alberto Mario Cirese published by Edizioni di Macchiamara of Bagnoli del Trigno. The meeting will be conducted by Gianfranco Miscia and, in addition to the presence of the author, includes the introductory report by Gino Massullo, historian and coordinator of Edizioni di Macchiamara and interventions by Lia Giancristofaro, anthropologist and professor at the University of Chieti- Pescara, and by Domenico Di Virgilio, ethnomusicologist and president of the Abruzzo Ethnolinguistic Musical Archive of Chieti. The volume, which includes the preface by Maurizio Agamennone and the afterword by Pietro Clemente, is the complete collection of recordings of traditional Molise songs made by the anthropologist Alberto Mario Cirese in 1954 in Bagnoli del Trigno, Fossalto and in the three Molise towns of Croatian origin Acquaviva Collecroce, Montemitro and San Felice del Molise. The volume includes 119 songs and 7 interviews contained in the 4 attached audio CDs.
