Roseto, which comes from two consecutive defeats, has been blessed with luck given that it is still first in the standings and therefore master of its own destiny. A victory on Venetian soil would confirm that first place in group B which will give the advantage of home advantage throughout the play-off series, but even a possible misstep could lead to achieving the same result: it will depend on the results that arrive from the San Severo pitch (where Ruvo di Puglia will play, which is equal on points with the biancazzurri but behind in head-to-head matches), from the Jesi building (third by two points with San Vendemiano, but also the only one to have the advantage of the difference in goals with the biancazzurri ) who will receive the visit of Padua, and from the San Vendemiano field who will play at home against Fabriano. Roseto only has to fear in the event of overtaking the Ruvos and arriving on equal points with the Jesis: in all other cases, including that of an all-group arrival, he would still remain first. The one who doesn’t want to do the math but focus on the matter is Giordano Durante, one of the best point guards this season: «There were two unexpected stops but we don’t feel sorry for ourselves. Our goal is to get back on track, play together as we have already shown we can do and go on to win in Vicenza. We want to give first place to our fans who will be an important part of our path to the play offs.” On Sunday evening we will also know the opponent of the Rosetans in the quarter-finals: in group A it will be a fight to the death to assign the last 2 places between Piacenza, Sant’Antimo and Legnano. Finally, as regards Chieti, the away match to Taranto, which is last in the standings, remains to be played: 13th place has already been achieved, and has given away the right to participate in the next season of National B.
