Udine, the call for contributions to pay rent has been opened

Provide concrete support to rent coverage to support families who do not

This measure aims to provide a Economic support to the townspeople and citizens, covering partially the rent expense of eligible applicants and referring to the fee incurred in the previous year.

The objective is to ensure, faced with economic and social weaknesses and the impossibility of paying the rent, a support in the payment of a fixed expense which has a very significant impact on the calculation of family expenses.

A growing demand.

There request for contribution by citizens in the last 5 years has scored a growth more or less constant. In the In fact, in 2019 there were 1302 applications submitted, they rose to 1590 in 2020 in the period marked by Covid restrictions, while in 2021 a very slight decline brought them to 1560.

However, applications marked a sharp growth again in 2022 when 1679 were submitted, and again last yearwith the number of applicants it has reached 1777. As regards the profile of the citizens who requested, the majority in 2023 was made up of single-income households for whom the cost of rent has a major impact on the family economy, followed in order by young people under 35, from the elderlylarge families and people with disabilities.

The requirements for applying for the grant

The contribution refers to the expenditure incurred during 2023 and they can request it Italian and foreign citizens, currently residing in the municipality of Udine and in the regional territory for at least 24 months, who for the whole of last year they held a lease.

As for the requirements strictly economicalthe contribution from the Rental Fund is reserved for families who present ISE (economic situation indicator) not exceeding 30 thousand eurosand who are required to pay rent with a certain incidence.

Specifically, the there are two incidence brackets: 14% for nuclei with ISEE (equivalent economic situation indicator) up to €15,563.86 (up to €18,676.63 for households made up of a single person), and 24% for those presenting an ISEE included between €15,563.87 and €20,000.00 (also in this case, for single-person households the threshold is higher, from 18,676.64 to 24,000.00).
