Milan, 19 April. – (Adnkronos) – “Digitization is a very dear topic to the Lombardy Region, especially in terms of ticketing. We want to give anyone the opportunity to get on any means of public transport by paying for the route they travel”. This was said by the Councilor for Transport and Sustainable Mobility of the Lombardy Region, Franco Lucente, interviewed during the second day of the ‘General States of Digital Engineering’ organized by the Order of Engineers of Milan at the Milanese Civic Aquarium. A laboratory on urban innovation with an eye towards the challenges and opportunities of advanced engineering for the benefit of the community.
“Themes very dear to the Lombardy Region were discussed – Lucente contextualised – especially in terms of future evolution with respect to technological neutrality and innovation from the point of view of digitalisation”.
In terms of digitalisation of ticketing, the councilor underlined: “Facilitating users is the central theme and allows citizens to live better”.
