New earthquake shock in Piedmont: no damage
The earth still shakes. A new earthquake measuring 2.2 on the Richter scale occurred on the night of Wednesday 17 April 2024, at 4.53 am, in Oncino, in the province of Cuneo. The municipality is located about 80 kilometers from Turin.

Another alarm a month ago
A month ago, however, two earthquakes occurred in Piedmont. One in Cesana Torinese, the other Pomaretto. They were reported on the night of Friday 15 March in the Turin area. At 2:08 a magnitude 1.2 earthquake was recorded 6 kilometers northwest of Cesana Torinese. It was located by the Seismic Room of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology in Rome. Then the earth shook at 04:51 in Pomaretto. The hypocenter was identified 2 km south of the town. Here the earthquake was of magnitude 1.4.
