Ternana returns to the championship after the fundamental victory in Cremona and does so, again away, at Rigamonti in Brescia. Before thinking about the next opponents however, Mister Breda looks back at Zini’s match in the conference before the match against Maran’s team: «The three points gave us the opportunity to be in a situation we had never been in. However, we are still one point away from the playouts and we must repeat Cremona’s attitude. In fact, regarding the type of match we played, the numbers don’t always say everything. Often certain types of matches show a huge gap in statistics, but playing as we did gives you few but good opportunities. Cremonese shot a lot from the edge and often with unclear opportunities. The idea was to avoid 1-on-1s and remove depth. Since they also participated with the defenders in the maneuver, important conditions were created for the restart. The concept was to manage the spaces in midfield with a sort of diamond; 3-5-1-1 or 3-6-1 changes little.”

The next opponents Speaking of their next opponents, Breda highlights the tactical and technical difficulties in facing Maran’s team: «Brescia is a different team, they do things that no one else does in Serie B. They have strong but different players and we have to be good at interpreting the match . Moncini and Bisoli are just examples, but they have many others. They are difficult to face because they bring many players into the area, restart and exploit your mistakes. They are different readings to make but at the same time it is an opportunity, given that our attitude has always been to recover the maximum from each match. They play the playoffs and have a good coach, because if you last a long time in Brescia you’re good… (laughs, ed.). Let’s just think about ourselves, because it takes a moment for us to find ourselves back in the mix.”

The red-greens The authentic protagonist of Zini’s victory was Tommaso Vitali from Terni, praised by the coach himself, who however recalls the difficulties of the second match compared to the debut: «We told him that the first week is perhaps the easiest. He had a great performance but the second one is even more dangerous. He must take the good of the first but not take anything for granted. He has to see it as if he did badly in the first one and wants to make up for it. It’s not easy but it’s an attitude that makes the difference. We told him and he knows it.” The usual point of the situation in the infirmary follows: «Dalle Mura is fine: he missed a training session because he finds it more difficult than others to get over the game. Something is taken away from him during the week to help him recover better. N’Guessan I would like to recover it, but the fallout requires attention. However, I see that he is raising his pace and we hope to be able to call him up by the end of the championship.”

Salvation On the possibility of obtaining salvation in the next few days, the coach does not go too far: «In football there is only black or white for me, that is, either we save ourselves or we don’t. At the moment I don’t care about the rest. We are very focused on ‘holding on to the helmet’. We have to do ours but it doesn’t just depend on us, we also need the results of others. We must remember that it is still very hard. However, I hope to be able to give you training in advance as I did eight years ago (laughs, ed.)…”.
