Raise the level of training for members. Collect proposals from colleagues to be proposed on May 7th at the States General of Accountants 2024 in Rome. Continue to improve relationships with bodies and institutions: primarily INPS and the Revenue Agency. These are the objectives that the current Council of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Catania wants to achieve in the coming months.

This is what emerged during the event “The Council meets the members”, which took place at Camplus (formerly the College of Aragon). Host Salvatore Virgillito, president of Odcec Catania, alongside him the vice president Tito Giuffrida, the secretary advisor Eleonora Contarino and the treasurer advisor Anna Quattrone.

“It was the second meeting with members since our inauguration – stated the president of the Etna Order Virgillito – we have organized numerous events in recent years, our main objective is to understand what can be done in the future for the interest of our category: in this direction it is essential for us to collect the requests of members. The objective is to continue to maintain a high level of training by increasingly raising the qualitative bar. It is important to network among colleagues to grow together and acquire the authority that belongs to us. On May 7th in Rome during the States General, our national president will explain the most relevant objectives of his mandate and we will discuss the future of our profession and the changes underway. It will be an opportunity to submit some proposals to the national category managers that we will collect from discussions with our members. We will discuss the responsibilities of professionals, especially when they hold roles in the Boards of Statutory Auditors; we will listen to the new regulations and express our opinion as usual to always be proactive. We believe in the objective of developing a collaborative and constructive relationship with bodies and institutions, in particular with the Revenue Agency and INPS. We are working together with the National Social Security Institute on the creation of guidelines to submit to colleagues to give them more information. The dialogue with the Revenue Agency remains constant to try to improve the collaborative relationship”.
