The booksellers’ fair returns to the Sentierone for its 65th edition. From Saturday (20 April, inauguration at 12) to 1 Maythe event, organized by Confesercenti, the Italian booksellers’ union (Sil) and the independent bookshops belonging to Li.Ber-Associazione Librai Bergamaschi, will give space to over 80 authors in the three locations dedicated to the meetings: in addition to the Meeting Space set up inside the Fair, the events will be held at the Auditorium in Piazza Libertà, at the Donizetti Studio, and at Nxt Station, in Piazzale Alpini.

Of note, on April 21st at the Auditorium, the 2024 Strega Tour Prize. Starting at 3pm, the 12 finalists of the prestigious literary prize will take turns on stage to present their works. At 3pm, introduced by podcaster and radio speaker Gianpiero Kesten, there will be: Chiara Valerio, Who says and who is silent (Sellerio); Tommaso Giartosio, Autobiogrammatics (minimum fax); Valentina Mira, On the same side you will find me (SEM); Dario Voltolini, Winter (The ship of Theseus). Also planned this year are events dedicated to the little ones, with 11 proposals of animated readings, workshops dedicated to robotics created in collaboration with the Dalmine Foundation, juggling and many stories dedicated to them starting from 3 years of age. The 65th edition of the Booksellers’ Fair is free to enter. The books of the guest authors are available at the Fair and during the meetings. Booking for meetings is mandatory on the Difesadeilibrai.it website. The Fair is open every day from 10am to 11pm, with the exception of May 1st from 10am to 8pm.
