The great theater of Dario Fo and Franca arrives at the “Premio Città di Taranto” Amateur Theater Festival, established by the Municipality of Taranto and now in its third edition, created by the “Compagnia Teatrale Lino Conte” Cultural Association on behalf of Fita Puglia. Copper.
The program organized by the artistic director Lino Conte continues with the “Spazio Teatro” Company and the show “Coppia Aperto… quasi gaping” by Franca Rame, directed by Luigi D’Andria. The appointment is scheduled for Friday 19 April at 9pm on the stage of the Teatro Comunale Fusco.
A couple, children of the 80s, slowly begin to wear out. Old school friends, cultured and open-minded, after twenty years of marriage, decide to overcome the cliché of the old concept of a couple: they want her to be free, without constraints, in short, open. Especially him.
Obviously, the husband, once the rope fell, as in the Palio of Siena, took off at full speed, bringing his conquests, displayed like trophies, into the house. The wife, now aware that she has fallen into a trap, neglected and put aside, attempts suicide. But there will be no shortage of surprises.
“Open couple… almost wide open” is a still relevant text, because the man-woman relationship, despite the overcoming of various taboos, still remains rich in too many facets. Through a magic cloth, on stage, the wife’s nightmares and dreams appear and take shape… they are lovers, the husband, the others, she herself, with her failures. But take heart, all is not lost when there is love!
