Foligno, smash-and-grab robbery against the “Giunti” bookshop in Corso Cavour

The thieves identified thanks to the images recorded by the video surveillance system

Break-in theft carried out during the night between Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th April against the “Giunti” bookshop in Corso Cavour. The perpetrators of the robbery fled in the middle of the night with a loot of around 900 euros, but were caught by the cameras of the video surveillance system and therefore identified.

“The images were extrapolated thanks to the technologically advanced system which allows, among other things, a high resolution of the shots” explained Mayor Zuccarini in a post published on his Facebook profile, in which he announced the progress of the investigations “thank you to the new integrated video surveillance system strongly desired by the municipal administration”.
“Recently, again thanks to the new integrated video surveillance system, it was possible to identify the perpetrator of the wave of bicycle thefts. – he added – I thank the commander of the local police Simonetta Daidone, the traffic police and all the police forces active in the area who every day with great dedication and sense of duty, are working for the safety of the our community.”
