Trento, the 2024 Summer Camps presented: sixteen different locations

The beginning of summer is less and less missing and with it Summer Camps organized by Trento Academy and US Acli Trentino, events aimed at girls and boys with a passion for football. The camps, presented today at a press conference, also in the presence of the Councilor of the municipality of Trento with responsibility for territory and public works Italo Gilmozzi, will allow many young people in our province to practice football and sports activities even in the summer period . They will allow families to entrust their children to qualified instructors within an environment suitable for the correct carrying out of athletic activity, but also for safety, sociality and education.

Speaking in the press conference to present the second edition, the President of the Trentino ACLI Luca Oliver underlined «the importance of the collaboration with AC Trento 1921 through Trento Academy, the association through which the aim is to spread the educational, social and solidarity values linked to sports practice, which thanks to the experience gained last year allows us to offer opportunities for relationships and growth to girls and boys, with a view to inclusiveness and active participation”.

As always, this year too the participants will be guided by a top-level staff, made up of technicians and athletic trainers from the Aquilotto Youth Sector. For Trento, the President of the Trento Academy Fabrizio Brunialti also spoke and underlined «the fundamental contribution, in the planning and management of events, made by US Acli Trentino. In addition to heartfelt thanks to the local clubs involved, the sponsors, as well as the yellow-blue youth sector. Together with the collaborators of AC Trento and the Academy, who this year too have put in place a notable effort to allow young enthusiasts to be protagonists of weeks of intense work on the field, together with valid technicians representing the only professional club of the Province and, let’s not forget, to guarantee important support to parents in the context of work-family conciliation. After last year’s success, which involved more than 850 boys and girls from Trentino, the city and our valleys will experience another yellow-blue summer.” During all Summer Camps, young participants will receive the most appropriate training in relation to their experience, so as to be able to improve their football skills, even during the summer holidays. But not only because, in addition to training and matches, there will be no shortage of fun and joy for all members.

Regarding the strategic value of the collaboration between the Acli Trentino and AC Trento 1921 through Trento Academy, the President of US Acli Trentino Joseph Valer underlined how «this initiative facilitates the conciliation between the sporting activity of young people and the time that parents must invest for family and work within a protected context, attentive both to the technical preparation of boys and girls, and to sociality and cultural training”. President Valer also recalled «the social importance of the Summer Camps, thanks to the possibility of taking advantage of the Service Vouchers made available by the Autonomous Province of Trento through the European Social Fund thanks to the service accreditation recognized by US Acli Trentino». CAF ACLI will be available to families for the ICEF calculation relating to Service Vouchers (appointments on 0461 277277 or online at www.mycaf.it in the “Book appointment” section).

The service vouchers, subsidized by the Provincial Administration through the European Social Fund, were created to help working parents. They consist of public participation in the expenses incurred by families for the purchase of education, care and custody services for minors aged from 3 months up to 14 years of age, or 18 years of age in the event of a handicap or other difficult situations. They are dedicated to families with a suitable ICEF and with residence – or domicile for work – in the province of Trento. It is possible to request Service Vouchers at any time of the year, depending on family needs and the deadlines of the specific services you intend to access. The rankings are established monthly, until funds are exhausted.

As regards the operational part of the Summer Camps, the Technical Manager of the AC Trento 1921 Youth Sector, Davide Tessaro, spoke and underlined how: «thanks to important and professional team work, we have managed to formulate a proposal that interests the entire provincial territory with 16 different locations. There will be nine weeks of day camp, i.e. from Monday to Friday from morning to late afternoon. This year we will also have two new features: the specialized camps for the role of goalkeeper, which will take place in two locations in Trento, and the events dedicated to the women’s camps in Isera and Roncegno”.

The summer camps will therefore involve various areas of the Autonomous Province of Trento: from the capital to Primiero, passing through the Piana Rotaliana, the Val di Cembra, the Lower and Upper Valsugana, the Busa, the Lower and the Upper Val of Non, the Giudicarie Valleys, the Valley of the Churches, the Val di Sole and the Paganella plateau.
