“The problem of the road system in Padua South must be addressed in a structural way. It is clear that accidents or slowdowns due to construction sites, in the case of the Padua Ovest ring road, bring out critical issues which need to be approached with pragmatism, defining a solution that has a more long-term scope. I have always been convinced that road infrastructure and the improvement of traffic represent the factors necessary to create development and growth in Padua”. This was stated by UDC senator Antonio De Poli, commenting on the inconveniences that occurred yesterday in Padua, due to a rear-end collision. “It is not possible to hide behind a finger: the problem of queues is daily and, unfortunately, not an exception. In fact, there is no emergency lane and the road is narrow. It is clear that these two elements cause tangible inconvenience when an accident occurs and, therefore, an emergency vehicle must arrive in the accident area. We ask the competent authorities and those with political responsibilities, at all levels, what solution they intend to adopt”. “One of our priorities – adds De Poli – is the intervention on the link road on the A13, which would be a new junction of the ring road, to be connected on one side to the coplanar A13 motorway and on the other to the center of Albignasego, with the ‘objective of alleviating traffic in one of the most productive areas of our territory.”
