For Swiss TV, there is no escape from disaster. “The Campi Flegrei volcano now contains so much lava and so much pressure that the cataclysm is inevitable and begins at the Solfatara” is just one of the chilling phrases heard in the documentary. Statements and images, perhaps even exaggerated to penetrate the spectator’s emotions, which however they contrast decidedly with the calm preached by the institutions. Also with regards to possibility of evacuationestimating possible timescales as not sufficient for a mobilization of this magnitude.
The story is also accompanied by the worried testimonies of some citizens, evidently already under emotional pressure due to the seismic phenomena of the recent period. In short, for residents of the Phlegraean area and beyond, it seems impossible to relax in this period.
