This was the invitation that Giancarlo Brocci he pronounced it for the first time on the eve of the second edition of GiroBio. It was 2010 and, now as then, the words of the creator of L’Eroica maintain the effect of a sporting manifesto of enormous beauty. Tomorrow, Wednesday 17 April, people from all over the world will arrive in Castiglione della Pescaia to take part in the second edition of Eroica Juniores, the second seasonal event of the Nations Cup, the most important and prestigious international event in the category. They even come from the United States, as well as from all over Europe, to race on the same roads as the great champions, to try to start their careers in the world of professional cycling right from Tuscany.
It will be a continuous battle that will start from the Punta Ala seafront and continue along all the scheduled stages until the final arrival in Chiusdino through demanding climbs and treacherous descents where often there is only one tactic; “stay in front and never give up the lead”. You will pass through wonderful territories that are worth the journey with one arrival above all, the one in Piazza del Campo in Siena.

Racing in a nutshell
The race will begin Thursday 18 April with the 22 kilometer team time trial, from Punta Ala (GR) to Castiglione della Pescaia (GR). The 68 kilometer route from Castiglione della Pescaia to Castiglione della Pescaia is scheduled for the afternoon.
Friday 19 April the race will start from Cinigiano (GR) and will end in Piazza del Campo, in Siena after 110 kilometers and five sections of dirt road.
The stage of Saturday 20 April will take the runners from Siena to Montevarchi, in the province of Arezzo with a double passage on the finish line. The race will pass through Gaiole in Chianti, where the heart beats strongly for L’Eroica. The race will be characterized by the climb of seven kilometers of dirt road to the Monte Luco Pass, which connects Chianti to Valdarno.
In the end Sunday 21 April we will go from Siena to Chiusdino through the Val d’Elsa for the final podium of this leading race on the world calendar.
