Richard Gere lectures Italy: “A Christian country, it’s surprising that it doesn’t welcome migrants”

New tirade by Richard Gere against Italy, it’s no longer new. The Hollywood actor became the champion of the left for his opposition to the security decrees of the then Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, claiming the need for an immigration policy dominated by open ports. I have the impression that this Hollywood gentleman has a rather distorted vision of what is happening in Italy, obsessed with ‘ racism’…It’s just disgusting to believe that someone wanted to drown people”.

The secretary of the League highlighted that Richard Gere’s thoughts have been debunked by the data, considering that during his reign at the Interior Ministry, landings were eliminated and deaths in the Mediterranean were reduced.
