The Reclamation Consortium with Children’s Florence: the child-friendly city
Descriptive text here

From 19 to 21 April Florence will host numerous events, dedicated to the little ones, which will have the aim of raising awareness among children and teenagers regarding the themes of the earth, nature and relationships between living beings

The Reclamation Consortiumfor the first time but certainly not the last, will participate in Firenze dei Bambini with a proposal that aims to guide them in the knowledge of rivers and streams, with a particular reference to the themes of climate change, resilience and hydrogeological prevention.

The project, carried out by Firenze dei bambini, will have the title “Sprouts” with a double connotation. First of all, it is dedicated to children who, despite being small today, are able to make a difference and become “big trees” over time, but it also wants to remember and pay homage to the centenary of the death of the composer Giacomo Puccini.

Young participants and their companions will be given a bracelet that will allow them to participate in the weekend’s activities around Florence.

Among the many activities that Florence will offer there will be meetings with zoologists and scientists who will help children immerse themselves in the animal kingdom. In addition, there will be performances, film screenings and readings.

The Botanical Garden will obviously also see them as protagonists, discovering ecosystems and nature. They will be able to unleash their creativity by becoming cartographers and discovering the secrets of nature.

These are just a very few of the numerous workshops and initiatives that will see them as the undisputed protagonists.

It will all end on 04/21, with the concert in Piazza della Signoria, in homage to the composer Giacomo Puccini.
