CREMONA – The San Pietro amusement park will open on Friday 31 May and, like every year, will be set up in Piazza Atleti Azzurri d’Italia. And there are 77 attractions and stands that will attract the people of Cremona until June 30th, the last day of opening. The mayor’s ordinance which lists the operating rules of the amusement park also establishes that «the use of amplifiers and sound reproducers is permitted from 4pm to 11pm in compliance with noise limits; after 11pm only the announcement of moderate volume rides is permitted.”
As for the attractions, there will be nine large ones, 25 medium ones and 32 small ones. To these will be added a novelty called a carousel Swallow flight. There will then be 10 food pavilions to delight the palates of the Cremonese: 5 food stalls and 5 dessert kiosks. Seventy-seven in all. Trucks and campers will be able to start occupying the area from May 20th.
The park’s operating hours will be as follows: on weekdays optional opening in the morning from 10 to 12. In this time slot the use of amplifiers and sound players will be prohibited. The afternoon opening from 3pm to 8pm is also optional. The evening opening of the attractions from 8pm to half past midnight is mandatory. On Friday and Saturday there is the possibility of extending the opening hours by half an hour, until 1am. On public holidays the optional opening is from 9am to 8pm, while the evening opening hours are identical to those on weekdays.
The timetables must be respected for the diffusion of music and the use of sound amplifiers: from 4pm to 11pm in compliance with noise limits; after 11pm only the announcement of moderate volume rides is permitted. However, the Municipality’s acoustic zoning plan which provides for a stop to noise in the area at 10pm also contemplates the possibility of requesting an exemption for events in public places or places open to the public and similar. And, therefore, the ordinance establishes that before the start, a waiver from the noise limits must be requested from the Ecology Sector. It is forbidden to serve wine and alcoholic beverages of any kind at the amusement park, with the sole exception of beer, which is permitted as long as its strength does not exceed 6 degrees. Also stop using glass bottles and containers.
