Confcommercio thanks the Bandecchi Council, while the Order of Journalists of Umbria protests for the exclusion of the category
The Terni City Council, on Monday morning, had as its main point the topic, put on the agenda, relating to the changes to the regulation of the Limited Traffic Zone.
At the end of the discussion, with 20 votes in favour, 9 against and 2 abstentions, only the changes proposed by the Bandecchi council to the ZTL regulation approved last November and partially revised in March were approved.
In general, the approved changes are aimed at expanding the time slots that allow circulation and at specifying times and operations permitted in relation to the different categories in the prohibited zones.
And so now at least within the ZTL the climate will be more relaxed, as the areas subject to passage restrictions will be much less closed off than they were originally thought.
The loading and unloading hours are doubled (from 4am to 11am and from 2pm to 5pm) and for traders it is a great achievement.
Owners of economic activities in possession of permit C who are located in prohibited areas will be able to access from 4 to 11 am and from 2 to 5 pm.
A condition that led Confcommercio to thank the Bandecchi Council.
The passes for doctors were also expiring on April 15th, but Bandecchi had no second thoughts for them regarding what he defined as the “privileged category”.
But the mayor did not want to listen to reason even regarding permits for journalists, stating without shame: “If a building falls in the center they will walk there, they broke me.”
A behavior that the Order of Journalists and the ASU condemns and for which it announces interventions expressing “dismay and indignation at the vulgar and offensive tones and expressions used by the mayor Stefano Bandecchi to definitively exclude journalists from the new access regulations to the ztl”.
For this reason ODG and ASU will evaluate legal initiatives to protect the category which – they announce – “like it or not, between constraints and limitations, offenses and denigrations, will continue to carry out its work”.
